Organic Protein Powder FAQs
Is it pregnancy & breastfeeding friendly?
Yes! Clean Proteins have had an update to make them suitable for all members of the family (including pregnancy and breastfeeding). Clean protein was previously categorised as a 'formulated supplementary sports food' because of the inclusion of some isolated amino acids, but these ingredients have been removed in favour of more complete plant based proteins. In saying this, we do advise on all our products to seek advice from your health care professional on taking our products if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We only say so as we believe that every pregnancy is different, taking a toll differently on each individual body in vitamin, mineral and energy levels. We invite you to research the product to ensure that you are not sensitive to any particular ingredients.
Is Clean Protein a complete protein?
Yes it is! By combining pea and brown rice protein Clean Proteins has a complete amino acid profile.
Are the flavours of chocolate protein powder natural?
Yes! We use premium Australian made plant based flavours that are created using only natural processing methods such as heating, fermenting and pressing. There is nothing artificial in our Clean Protein.
Are your proteins gut friendly?
Clean Protein is both easily digestible and offers extra support for gut wellbeing. The pea & brown rice proteins are both sprouted, making them more bioavailable and easily digestible. We’ve added digestive enzymes to further help break down different compounds and increase bioavailability.
Plus with 1 billion cfu probiotics per serve, and prebiotic fibres to feed good gut bacteria, Clean Protein further supports gut wellbeing.

Yes and yes.
What has changed in Clean Plant Proteins?
We’re always looking to innovate and find ways to make our products even better and cleaner. With Clean Plant Protein, we found an opportunity to improve the texture, nutrition, and certification:
- We’ve upgraded to a hydrolysed smooth pea protein for a creamier texture, which meant we could also remove some gums
- This change gave us room to increase the protein per serve, now 23 g in Vanilla and 22 g in Chocolate (up from 21 g).
- We’ve also moved to Certified Organic flavours, showing our commitment to natural, high-quality ingredients.
- The minerals have been updated from magnesium + iron to zinc + iron + potassium for additional benefits.
- And to make it clearer for everyone, we renamed it Clean Plant Protein, so it’s easy to see that it’s a vegan protein.
Rest assured, it still delivers all the benefits you loved in the old product, and now with even more clean, tasty protein to enjoy.
